If you have taken our very popular First Steps class, this is the perfect course to progress into selecting which centerfire handgun will be the best fit for you. Our instructors have pre-selected several of the best suited concealed carry handguns, all varying in different calibers, for you to shoot and evaluate. You will be able to gain first-hand experience comparing and firing many of the most popular calibers and models of handguns which will give you the experience necessary to make an educated purchase in regard to which firearm is best suited for your comfort level, skill level and purpose. This course is all inclusive. Ultimate Defense provides handguns, ammunition, safety glasses, hearing protection, everything you need to complete this course. Age Requirements: 13 years and older (13-20 must be accompanied by an adult 21 and over).Classes are NON REFUNDABLE, however you may exchange for another class of the same type on a different date if something comes up that prevents you from attending.

• Equipment: Bring your pistol, eye and ear protection (all in a suitable range bag) and closed toed shoes.
• Do not handle any firearms until instructed to do so and firearms are to be in COLD (unloaded) condition, with slide locked open or a chamber flag in place.

Our Youth Handgun Safety Course is designed for young enthusiasts aged 9 to 16. This comprehensive program focuses on firearm safety, responsible handling, and basic marksmanship. Under the guidance of certified instructors, participants will learn proper grip, stance, and aiming techniques in a controlled and supportive environment. The course includes both classroom instruction and hands-on practice, emphasizing the importance of respect and responsibility when handling firearms. Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience, this course aims to build confidence and skills in a safe, fun, and educational setting. This is a 2-hour course that includes shooting

This LADIES ONLY class is a guided experience that provides you the opportunity to learn how to shoot without any pressure or stress. Our instructors understand that everyone operates at different comfort levels around firearms and will work with you to help you feel relaxed and comfortable as you gain experience. This course covers the 4 major rules of gun safety, gun safety in the home, gun safety at the range and proper shooting technique (grip, stance, posture). *Note:  This is the same course content as First Steps, but this course is designed to be a more relaxed, fun atmosphere for the ladies. Firearms shot will be a Ruger 22 Mark IV, 5 rounds with a Full-Frame 9mm handgun, and 5 rounds with a Sub-Compact 9mm handgun.  Ammunition, targets, eye & ear protection are provided.  Class size is limited to 16 participants.  Age Requirement: 13 years and older (13-20 must be accompanied by an adult 21 and over). Classes are NON-REFUNDABLE; however, you may exchange for another class of the same type on a different date if something comes up.

Let us instruct you on the best and simplest tactics for physically defending yourself. We will teach you SIMPLE techniques that are effective and easy to perform without having to rely on superior strength or undergo hours and hours of training. This course teaches unarmed tactics which include striking with hands, feet, knees and elbows on instructors protected with padding. Each student is taught the PROPER way to deploy mace on an attacker and is given an inert water-based canister to practice with. Taser training is included with footage of real deployments on attackers and suspects. (a Taser is demonstrated using a live cartridge on a dummy target). You will learn: "At Risk” Factors, Attackers Motives and Mental Status, Effective Target Areas, Simple Maneuvers to Escape, Disabling Strikes & Injuries, & Use of Pepper Spray. You must be13 years or older to participate.
