This course is designed specifically for individuals with little to no experience with pistols and revolvers but have a desire to learn how to shoot proficiently. Our experienced and patient instructors will give you an in-depth understanding of firearms safety, basic fundamentals of marksmanship, and firearm operations. Our primary goal for this course is to give each participant a feeling of comfort and confidence with a handgun. This is a live fire course where handguns, ammunition, eye & ear protection and everything needed for the course will be provided by Ultimate Defense. Age Requirement: 13 years and older (13-20 must be accompanied by an adult 21 and over). Classes are NON REFUNDABLE, however you may exchange for another class of the same type on a different date if something comes up that prevents you from attending.

Let us instruct you on the best and simplest tactics for physically defending yourself. We will teach you SIMPLE techniques that are effective and easy to perform without having to rely on superior strength or undergo hours and hours of training. This course teaches unarmed tactics which include striking with hands, feet, knees and elbows on instructors protected with padding. Each student is taught the PROPER way to deploy mace on an attacker and is given an inert water-based canister to practice with. Taser training is included with footage of real deployments on attackers and suspects. (a Taser is demonstrated using a live cartridge on a dummy target). You will learn: "At Risk” Factors, Attackers Motives and Mental Status, Effective Target Areas, Simple Maneuvers to Escape, Disabling Strikes & Injuries, & Use of Pepper Spray. You must be13 years or older to participate. Requirements: A reliable handgun, three (3) magazines, waistband holster, 300 rounds of ammo

Course Description: Defensive Handgun is taught by active duty SWAT officers that will elevate your skills with a handgun immeasurably. Learn drills that you can practice that will make you faster and more accurate as well as the most efficient techniques for weapons handling. Tactical Reloading Clearing Malfunction Proper Draw Shooting Positions Vertical Tracking Trigger Reset Use of Cover Weapon Hand / Support Hand Firing Drills.

Improving fundamentals to fire faster and gain accuracy:  Tactical magazine changes, Proper drawing and engaging techniques, Strengthening your ability to perform under stressful situations, Showing you how to best use cover and concealment to your advantage, and Instruction on how to deal with multiple threats.

Age Requirements: 18 years and older

Requirements:  Bring a reliable semi-auto handgun, three (3) magazines (double stack) or (6) magazines (single stack), hip mounted holster, 250 rounds of ammo and a ball cap. A flashlight is mandatory.  Weapon mounted lights are encouraged, but not mandatory.

Course Description: Defensive Handgun 3 – Low Light course is the third training evolution in the Ultimate Defense “Defensive Handgun” program.  This firearms training takes the fundamentals and experience you have gained since Defensive 1 and 2, and explores your response and ability to use those skills in a darkened environment, where most violent encounters occur.  The course is taught by experienced SWAT officers that will hone your skills and prepare you for lethal force defense in low light environments.  Instruction in the class includes anatomy of night vision, shooting in ambient light, shooting with various flashlight and weapon grips, shooting with a weapon mounted light and several drills to testy our reaction, judgment and effectiveness at night.  The class has limited classroom instruction and 14 shooting drills to assess your abilities.

You will test your skill level in two live fire zombie themed bays & fight your way through a scenario based zombie attack.
