FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Range Memberships

Do I have to be a Member to shoot at Ultimate Defense?

Yes – The first time that you shoot at the range, you will become an “Associate” Member; at no charge to you!  Before you can enter the Firing Range Area, you will be required to complete an Enrollment and Range Rules Forms.  Then you will receive an “Associate” Membership Card – which you will present on future visits to the range (that way you will not have to fill out the forms upon every visit to the range).

For a Family Membership, what constitutes a “Family”?

The Family Membership covers up to 4 individuals of the same immediate family all living at the same residence.

Range Usage

Is there a minimum age to shoot on the range?

As a condition of our approval for permits from the City, we are restricted to only individuals over the age of 21 unless accompanied by a member of the range over the age of 21.  Individuals under the age of 21 (with the exception of active military personnel 18 years old or older) cannot use the range by themselves; they must be accompanied by and actually share a firing lane with someone who is over 21 years old.  Note that the minimum age to be on the range is 16 years old.

How many people are allowed in a Firing Lane at a time?

A maximum of two people may share one firing lane.

Acceptable Firearms

What caliber Firearms can be used?

Firearms approved for range usage are handguns up to .50 caliber, rifles up to .223 caliber and shotguns with slugs.  No multi-projectile ammunition will be permitted.
